Twins All-Star Byron Buxton put together a strong performance to make it past the opening round of the 2025 Home Run Derby, but his run came to an end against the Rays' Junior Caminero in the semifinals.

The Minnesota Twins’ Byron Buxton rallied to reach the semifinal round of the All-Star Home Run Derby but then lost to Tampa Bay’s Junior Caminero.

Minnesota was the home of the first All-Star Week Home Run Derby in 1985, as Tom Brunansky took second while mashing dingers in the Metrodome. In 2008, Justin Morneau also made it to the big stage of the derby.
