Los Angeles Dodgers' left fielder Michael Conforto has severely struggled at the plate this season, and he may get replaced with the MLB trade deadline nearing.

Arkansas lefty ace Zach Root heard his name called in the 2025 MLB Draft on Sunday and was taken by the Los Angeles Dodgers with the 40th overall pick. Root, a transfer from East Carolina, spent one season with the Razorbacks.

Lasorda, who pitched two seasons for the Dodgers (1954-55), was the franchise's third base coach from 1973-76 before becoming its manager near the end of the 1976 season, and he certainly made the most of that promotion.
