Robin Kaye, an American Idol boss, and her husband were fatally shot in their Encino, Los Angeles, home. Alleged murder suspect Raymond Boodarian reportedly lived just minutes away from them in a neighbourhood packed with celebrities.

Raymond Boodarian was identified as the suspect in the shooting of the American Idol music supervisor and her husband in Los Angeles.

The couple ultimately did not go through with hiring the security firm and it remains unclear whether their home had been targeted before.

Pool cleaner, Mauro Quintero, told Fox News Digital there had been a previous break-in attempt on the home of 'American Idol' music supervisor, Robin Kaye.
