Mikel Arteta wants to take busy summer recruitment drive to six before weekend departure for pre-season tour of Asia

Arsenal are working to complete a deal to sign Valencia centre-back Cristhian Mosquera. Personal terms are in place with the 21-year-old and the two clubs are close to reaching an agreement. The Athletic previously reported that the north London side were working on a deal to sign Mosquera with a defensive signing a priority this summer.

The two clubs have been negotiating for more than a week with discussions now at an advanced stage and an agreement close.
