Nick Loftin secures a 3-2 win for the Kansas City Royals over the New York Mets on Sunday with a walk-off single.
Kansas City rookie Noah Cameron matched a career high with eight strikeouts while pitching into the seventh, but the Royals needed Nick Loftin's walk-off RBI single in the ninth to win 3-2 over the visiting New York Mets on Sunday.
Royals speedster Tyler Tolbert was the subject of Friday's call. He attempted to steal second base and appeared to have made it safely. However, the Mets challenged the call and replay review showed his body had slid off the bag. An unfortunate call went against the Royals. Less than 24 hours later, the Royals were in the same situation.
Mark Vientos had a three-run double in the eighth inning, Francisco Lindor hit a three-run homer in the ninth and the New York Mets beat the Kansas City Royals 8-3 on Friday night.
