(Reuters) -Croatia captain Luka Modric, who left Real Madrid after 13 years at the LaLiga club, has completed his move to AC Milan on a one-year deal with an option to extend until June 2027, the Serie A side said on Monday.

Luka Modric has completed a move to AC Milan on a free transfer after 13 successful years at Real Madrid. The 39-year-old midfielder has signed a contract until June 2026, with the Italian side having the option to trigger a one-year extension.

At age 39, Luka Modric is going to try and help restore seven-time European champion AC Milan to glory after one of the most disappointing Rossoneri seasons in recent memory.
