Tour de France continues on Friday with Stage 7, a 197 km trek through Brittany featuring rolling terrain and a dramatic finish at Mûr-de-Bretagne.

Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates-XRG) scorched to the stage victory and returned to the Tour de France overall lead on the summit of Mùr de Bretagne, clinching his second stage win in four days ahead of arch-rival Jonas Vingegard (Visma-Lease a Bike).

Pogačar is the overwhelming favorite to win a fourth Tour title and has been the best rider since the start of the Tour last weekend.

Tadej Pogačar uncorked a huge, muscling uphill sprint on the Mûr de Bretagne to reclaim the yellow jersey of the Tour de France. Overnight race leader Mathieu van der Poel was gapped on Friday’s seventh stage when UAE Emirates XRG exploded the peloton on the hilltop finale.

There was no significant change in the overall standings and three-time Tour champion Tadej Pogačar kept the race leader’s yellow jersey.

J oão Almeida (UAE Team Emirates-XRG) abandoned the Tour de France during stage 9 on Sunday, in a huge hit to overall leader Tadej Pogačar 's climbing support. Almeida's team confirmed on social media that he could not continue due to injuries suffered in a high-speed crash on stage 7, after struggling and being dropped from the peloton.
