Demon Hunter, Netflix and KPop

At one point in KPop Demon Hunters’ demon hunter Rumi (Arden Cho) and antagonist Jinu (Ahn Hyo-seop) orchestrate what could be considered a series of dates. One such clandestine meeting leads to the absolutely beautiful sequence where KPop superstars EJAE and Andrew Choi sing one of the many catchy tunes on the soundtrack, a duet named “Free.”
Talk about a success story. KPOP Demon Hunters started out fairly average for a Netflix animated project, but now, in week 3, it’s climbing to ridiculous heights. Last week, we discussed how the movie has maintained one of the best holds of any film, and this week, it actually gained viewership, up 6.61%. It now sits at 80.3M views in week 4.

KPop Demon Hunters has taken the world by storm since its release on Netflix. With global audiences showering their love for HUNTR/X and The Saja Boys, one of the aspects that fans have been shedding tears over is the tragic end of Jinu (Ahn Hyo-Seop) in the film.
When they aren't selling out stadiums, Kpop superstars Rumi, Mira and Zoey use their secret identities as badass demon hunters to protect their fans from an ever-present supernatural threat.
