WNBA fans were perhaps disappointed that Caitlin Clark (groin) and Angel Reese (back) were unable to renew their famous rivalry in Sunday's matchup between the Indiana Fever and Chicago Sky due to injuries.

The Chicago Sky (7-18) have fallen on hard times since picking up consecutive home wins over Dallas and Minnesota earlier this month.

The Chicago Sky have one of the most popular players in the WNBA on their roster in the form of Angel Reese. She has already made a major impact throughout her first two years, but there are a lot of areas that she must improve in.

The three-on-three men's league offered Caitlin Clark $5 million while she was still at Iowa. Co-founder Ice Cube told TMZ that Reese would not receive a similar offer.

Reese has been nursing a back injury this week and was ruled out for the game against Indiana as well. Joining both of them on the inactive list is rookie guard Hailey Van Lith, who was drafted 11th overall by Chicago in the 2025 WNBA Draft.

Angel Reese entered the All-Star break playing the best basketball of her young career, but was unable to pick up where she left off in the Chicago Sky's first game back on Tuesday, a 91-68 loss to the league-leading Minnesota Lynx.
