German newspaper BILD reports that the striker is rubbing shoulders with the rest of his team-mates - which suggests that his switch to Anfield may not be imminent.

According to Sport Bild, Frankfurt are holding out for a higher fee, but Liverpool’s strong relationship with the Bundesliga club may smooth negotiations. Ekitike has reportedly expressed his desire to join the Reds and is now awaiting a club-to-club agreement.

Eintracht Frankfurt have rejected an €80 million ($93 million) offer from Newcastle United for their forward Hugo Ekitiké, broadcaster Sky reported on Tuesday. According to the report, Frankfurt were not happy with the payment terms.
