Pogačar crashes as Abrahamsen wins Stage 11 of Tour de France after 155-kilometer breakaway

Tour de France favorite Tadej Pogačar crashed near the finish while Norwegian rider Jonas Abrahamsen won the 11th stage on Wednesday. Pogačar, the three-time champion, crashed with 3.9 kilometers remaining after hitting the wheel of Tobias Johannessen in front.

Jonas Abrahamsen of Switzerland won the 11th stage of the Tour de France, a 156.8-km ride around Toulouse, as defending champion Tadej Pogacar hit the deck in the finale on Wednesday.

"Break, hopefully," he laughed. No wonder, he's already had plenty of joy in the breakaways. The 24-year-old claimed his first Tour win on stage six and then claimed the yellow jersey for the first time in his career on stage 10. Fred Wright and Mathieu Burgaudeau have now set off in pursuit.
