Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s trip to Washington this week netted Trump a nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize, but not the ceasefire the U.S. leader sought for the war in Gaza.

The Israeli military said the missile had intended to hit an Islamic Jihad militant in the area but that a malfunction had caused it to fall "dozens of metres from the target".
