The NHTSA has officially closed its investigation into over 2 million Nissan vehicles for rear suspension arm issues without issuing a recall, citing a drop in complaints and Nissan’s extended warranty coverage.

Nissan is recalling nearly 443,900 vehicles across certain models under its namesake and Infiniti brands in the U.S. over a faulty part that could cause their engines to fail.

The recall involves the Nissan Rogue and Altima, as well as the Infiniti QX50 and QX55, equipped with VC-Turbo engines..
