At least 200 people have reportedly been killed since fighting between Druze militias and Bedouin tribes erupted in Suweida on Sunday.

The Israeli military carried out a wave of airstrikes on Tuesday targeting government forces in Syria and the Iran-backed Hezbollah militia in Lebanon, escalating what Israel said were efforts to secure the country’s northern border.

Syria’s military entered a stronghold for the Druze minority in the country’s south on Tuesday to “pursue outlaw groups,” the government said, prompting Israel to launch strikes against the forces dispatched by Damascus.
