KERR COUNTY, Texas — As the Hill Country cleans up the flooding debris, medical clinics, pharmacies and partners with the State Department of Health are working to help first responders, volunteers, and flood victims stay safe with free tetanus shots. Its recommended to get a tetanus booster shot every 10 years as an adult.

A West Texas juvenile probation officer, Jayda Floyd, and others died in Kerr County floods. The community mourns, honors them, and supports the victims.

Kerr County residents will be in recovery and cleanup mode for a while. Baylor University and BearAid disaster relief are among the many groups stepping in to help with the healing process.
