The 49ers traded away star wide receiver Deebo Samuel earlier this offseason to the Washington Commanders, and Purdy had three seasons of throwing the ball to Samuel amid the quarterback’s emergence from 2022 on. He seems to be a bit concerned about the franchise and feels that things are in flux rather than a team looking to compete for a Super Bowl.
